UAB “PakMarkas” has won the contest of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists of “Successfully Working Company - 2008”.
In order to present and honour successful business examples in Lithuania, the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists awards honourary title of “Petras Vileišis”, “Prize of Innovations” and “Successfully Working Company” each year. The winners of the latter contest have been awarded with a bronze sculpture “Perpetuum Mobile”.

This year groups of 40 large, medium and small companies that have been the most successful this year were awarded with the prize of “Successfully Working Company”. They were evaluated according to the volume of production and services (annual revenue), profitability, investment in production, export volume (production produced and services realized beyond the Lithuanian boarder), work productivity indicators and other additional criteria.
The main factors that brough “PakMarkas” to recognition were the installation of new technologies, investment in production and the increase of work productivity.
The world‘s fourth environmentally-friendly ten colour flexographic printing machine was installed in “PakMarkas”.
The specific feature of the new machine is that the use of a unique WetFlex Unicure® paint technology provides extremely high quality rendering. Moreover, high-quality patent paint used in printing is particularly environmentally friendly; the green-house gas, carbon dioxide (CO2), is not emmitted to the environment. The paint in many cases is also safe from hygienic point of view and it is suitable for food packages.
Significant results have been achieved in the field of engineer package and marking solutions; the main ones are the following:
a fully automatic milk powder prepackaging line has been launched;
a 45.000 b/h labeling device designed for attaching labels in a set position on oriented bottles, has been installed;
new generation laser marking technology has been successfully introduced.
