On 25 May 2011 PakMarkas, UAB signed the financing and administration agreement for the project titled The Creation of a Single Information System for PakMarkas, UAB (No. VP2-2.1-ŪM-02-K-02-039) in accordance with the measure E-verslas LT (E-business LT) of the second priority, which is Increasing Business Productivity and Improving Environment for Business of the Operational Programme for Economic Growth for 2007-2013 in Lithuania.
The essence of the project is to make a transition to the modern control of production and business processes by electronic means, having reduced the circulation of paper documents to the minimal level. The project is intended to create a single company’s information system, which will cover not only the traditional business management system, but also production management, project management, automated receipt, fulfilment and control of clients’ orders.
“We invested much in production premises and high quality printing equipment, thus, the majority of work processes is in compliance with the newest technical achievements, but task delegation is still performed manually,” says Povilas Juknevičius, IT Manager of PakMarkas, UAB. “We hope that the transition to the electronic work management and electronic internal documents system will significantly increase the efficiency of performance of works and the overall productivity of the company, decrease the number of discrepancies and mistakes, and will also contribute to the ecological activities of the company.”
The successful implementation of the project will lead to the increase of work productivity, the more rational management of working time and allocation of financial resources, the better information spread inside the company, the correct transmission and monitoring of such information. Clients will be able to order the vast variety of the company’s products, coordinate terms of production and delivery, follow the process of their order and its fulfilment.
The sum of LTL 149,950.00 is allocated from the European Regional Development Fund for the implementation of this project. The total value of the project is LTL 299,900.00. The company plans to implement the project by February, 2013.
The company PakMarkas, UAB operates in the Lithuanian market since 1994. The main activities of the company are: printing self-adhesive labels and shrink sleeves and trading in packing materials, packing and marking equipment, gears and production automation elements. In 1995 the secondary company of PakMarkas, UAB was established in Latvia. The total number of employees of the company is 178.
