That same hot-stamping machine is used for relief-imprint stamping, as one used for foil plating. The only difference is that the relief imprint is obtained by pressing the material between two relief forms, one of which has raised portions (the cold punch) and the other one – recessed portions (the heated matrix). The pressed material adopts the relief of the forms, which creates the 3D vision of the label or packing.
As with the foil plating, the relief-imprint stamping is used to highlight exclusiveness of the products and is popular in the strong drink, cosmetics and pharmacy industries. |
