PakMarkas turnover increased more than 8 per cent in 2003


 

The turnover of the Lithuanian marking and packaging solutions company “PakMarkas” reached 41,9 Mio. Litas in 2003, which is 8,6 per cent more than last year.

 

The sales of “PakMarkas” packaging material, packaging and marking equipment, as well as self-adhesive labels amounted to 38,6 Mio. Litas in 2002. “PakMarkas” has planned to increase the turnover about 15% this year.

 

“Last year was special for our company, as the company activities were in principal reorganized. Working in team allowed the personnel to surmount the difficulties, and raise the turnover of „PakMarkas“ by 8%, with the profit even higher“- says Ronaldas Vaitiekűnas, Marketing Director, summarizing the year of the company.

 

“PakMarkas” certified its environment management system following the requirements under ISO 14001 October 2003, which would save energy, natural resources and raw material used by the company, with the re-processing even earning extra profit for the company.

 

The positions of “PakMarkas” in the home and export markets were consolidated by the investments into modern technologies, with special emphasis laid on “Du Pont” “Cyrel FAST” print form production line being the first in eastern Europe”, – the most ecologic and productive technology in the world nowadays.

 

The company plans to allot over 4 Mio. Litas for the investments in production in 2004, which would ensure the successful growth in the Lithuanian and European markets in the future.
