PakMarkas, the Lithuanian company of labelling and packaging solutions, reports that this year’s third quarter production sales amounted to 10,63 million litas, i.e. 12,8% more than the same period of the previous year when the sales were 9,42 million litas.
Sales of the PakMarkas within the period of nine months totalled to 29,6 million litas and were slightly (0,4%) lower as compared to the same period of prior year.
“This year was special for PakMarkas - we have proceeded with the modernisation of production process taking into account the European market. Our investments to the latest technologies and increase of production efficiency this year have already exceeded 4,2 million litas. Previous quarter has already showed the results of the reorganisation – we won some large-scale contracts in the Western Europe”, - says PakMarkas Marketing Director, Ronaldas Vaitiekűnas.
Within the third quarter the PakMarkas continued the targeted strategic reorganisation and enlargement of the label production and designing unit. In July-September the sales of PakMarkas labels went up by about 44%, as compared to the same period of the previous year. The sales of PakMarkas labels within three quarters of this year grew by 40,2%, if compared to the period of the year 2002.
PakMarkas Marketing Director notes that the company with regard to its own production capacities, the ratio of quality and prices and efficiency has a great potential in Lithuania as well as in the Western European markets.
Mr Vaitiekűnas assured that “We belong to a new generation of the suppliers for labelling and packaging solutions in the Eastern and Middle European countries. We have applied the latest technologies what will allow us being successful competitors after Lithuania’s accession to the European Union”. |
