The largest European label industry exhibition “LabelExpo 2003” was held in Brussels (Belgium) at the end of September, where Lithuanian company “PakMarkas” acquired the cutting-edge automatic rewinding line for 0,33 Mio. Litas, which will enable even faster and cheaper completion of large-scale orders.
“PakMarkas” focuses on investments into the most recent technologies and increase of production effectiveness with the company investments having exceeded already 4 Mio. Litas this year.
“We are preparing for membership in European Union, where completion of companies’ orders will require higher capacities”, - says Ronaldas Vaitiekűnas, the marketing director of “PakMarkas”. “The equipment acquired at the exhibition will enable more effective, faster and cheaper production of labels, thus, also making us more attractive to western companies.”
Having obtained last month a trial order made by Irish printing service company “AC Tape” for production of self-adhesive labels for more than 0,6 Mio. Litas, “PakMarkas” proved its potential competitiveness in the European market of marking and packaging solutions.
According to the marketing director of “PakMarkas”, the company keeps a close watch on the latest tendencies in the market, which were clearly reflected at the exhibition “LabelExpo 2003” as well – finally the market is being dominated by the printing machines with intellectual servodrives, self-adhesive labels also get more popular as well as large labels in form of sleeves put on bottles. As per statement of “Label Expo” analysts, plastic labels of new type are replacing traditional self-adhesive paper labels.
“PakMarkas” has also renewed cooperation contracts with its largest partners in Europe – the leading material suppliers “Avery Denison” and “Raflatac” at the time of the exhibition.
“Labelexpo Europe 2003”, the biggest continental exhibition of marking and label industry, has been visited by more than 20 000 participants this year. Observers emphasize that this year exhibition was marked with new, potential European market participants from east and mid-Europe as well as Asia. |
