The turnover of the packaging solutions company PakMarkas in the first quarter of 2006 amounted to 12 million Litas and was by 12 % higher in comparison to the same period last year, when the turnover reached 10.7 million Litas.
During the same period the turnover of the affiliate PakMarkas company in Latvia was 2 million Litas, a rise of 11 % as compared to the results of last year’s first quarter.
PakMarkas experienced similar increase during the first four months of this year in Lithuania – while last year the company’s turnover during the January–April period amounted to 13.9 million Litas, this year it was 15.9 million Litas (increase of 14 %). In 2005 the company’s turnover did not vary and amounted to 50 million Litas. Consistent development of the main activities enabled the company to trigger the growth again. “We are focing on the development of printing products and improvement of customer service this year”, Virginijus Gumbaragis, director of the company, indicates. Director emphasizes that PakMarkas has aimed and will aim to remain the market leader in the Baltic countries through continuous investments in technology and training.
Last year PakMarkas invested 3.4 million Litas in the modernization of printing. It is planned to allocate additional 2 million Litas to the renovation of the printing manufactory. |
