Last year the turnover of PakMarkas remained stable

In 2005 the turnover of the packaging and labeling solutions company PakMarkas remained virtually unchanged and was 49,8 million Litas. In 2004 it amounted to 49,5 million Litas. Meanwhile, activities of the affiliate PakMarkas company in Latvia increased by 17% from 7 million Litas in 2004 to 8,2 million Litas last year.

Last year’s stability of PakMarkas turnover was determined by overall market developments and abandoning of operational areas of low profitability as well as concentration towards the main activities, notably, self-adhesive label and packaging printing as well as trade in packaging equipment.

“2005 was the year of maturity − a stable relationship was established in the market, companies thoroughly planned their investments in packaging and marking, the scale of unforseen changes decreased”, notes Virginijus Gumbaragis, the head of the company.

Last year PakMarkas invested 3,4 million Litas in modernization of printing facilities; this year the company is planning to spend up to 2 million Litas for a renovation of the printing workshop. After realization of investments the company will offer faster and more qualitative label printing services.
