Increase in sales of labels of PakMarkas by more than one third

In the first half of this year, the turnover of “PakMarkas”, the leading Lithuanian company of packaging and marking solutions, reached 18,8 million Litas. During the same time last year the company product and service sales numbered 20,1 million Litas.

According to Ronaldas Vaitiekűnas, the marketing director of “PakMarkas”, the results of the first half reflect the structural changes – focus on more profitable segments of the activities - within the company.

“The slowdown of the turnover of packaging materials at the beginning of the year was caused by the general growth of competition in the market and consequently dropping prices. Therefore, we have focused on those products, the manufacture of which would manifest the competitive advantage – first of all, label printing and bottling equipment, emphasized Mr. Vaitiekűnas.

Leap of sales in self-adhesive labels

In the first half of 2003 sales in self-adhesive labels of “PakMarkas” increased 38 per cent, compared with the last year, and exceeded 6 million Litas.

The distinction of “PakMarkas” in this section is the offer of complex solutions as well as professional and quick service for its clients in Lithuania and other Baltic States. In June, with the acquisition of the unique production line of printing forms “Du Pont” “Cyrel FAST”, the only one of this kind in the East and Central Europe, the position of the company was even more strengthened.

The marketing director of the company is convinced that regular focusing of “PakMarkas” on modernization produces beneficial results as well: the growing interest of the national producers towards the latest technologies enable more qualitative and effective representation of the product or trademark by using self-adhesive labels.

This year “PakMarkas” is planning to allocate a total of more than 4 million Litas for the modernization and development of production.
